Good Afternoon Nighthawk Families 

It was an exciting week, as we held our first North Trail graduation ceremony at the BMO for over 590 students. It was an emotional occasion for everyone involved including NTHS staff, families, friends, and graduands. Congratulations to all our graduates. They have demonstrated significant perseverance and resilience during their two years at North Trail.

Scholarship Winner 

We would like to congratulate Inioluwa A. She was selected by Education Matters to receive the Investing in the Future Award valued at $100,000.   

Science Olympics 

After months of extremely focused and challenging work building a remote ore-detecting vehicle (and then also competing at two mystery/unannounced  events), our North Trail Science Olympics Team competed last Saturday at WinSport in the Calgary-wide APEGA Science Olympics and received a silver ranking. 

Congratulations go to Vivian T., Edward G, Jamie C., Amanda T., or Haijin Y., on their outstanding work and success! 

Reminders 

Cafeteria Closure 

The last day of cafeteria service will be on Friday, June 6. The closure allows Culinary students to complete their final assessments and do a deep cleaning of the kitchen, prior to the end of the semester. Please make other arrangements for food and lunch after that date. 

Bottle Drive

Leadership is hosting a bottle drive on Saturday, May 31 from 10am to 2pm. Bring your bottles to the school between those hours and help us raise some funds to offset the cost of the upcoming Student Leadership Conferences in the 2025-2026 school year. Your support will help more students attend these valuable conferences and bring back their experiences to our school community. Thank you in advance for your support! 

Locker Clean-Out

Student lockers will need to be cleaned out on Wednesday, June 4, during Trail Time. Please bring an extra bag if needed for taking these items home. If your student will be absent on Wednesday for Trail Time, please ask them to clean out their locker the day prior. As of Monday, June 9, any items not removed from the locker will be removed by school staff.  If appropriate, the item may be donated.
