Good Afternoon Families,

This weekend North Trail School is hosting the Senior Screamer Volleyball Tournament. Feel free to pop by this evening and tomorrow to watch some incredible volleyball. You can check the NTHS Athletics Instagram page for more information about game times. We also have one of our Cross country runners, Bashir Khalid, representing our school this weekend, in Grand Prairie, at the cross country provincials. In other athletics news, Yoon-Jin Jung (Grade 10), just returned home from a karate third place finish in the IKON International Friendship Tournament in Kobe, Japan.

Alberta Out of Province Fair (OOP) 

The Alberta Out of Province Fair will be happening on Friday, October 25 from 12:30-1:30pm. Students will have an opportunity to explore 40 post-secondary institutions. There are no classes that day, so students will need to make their own arrangements to attend. 

PAT Marks 

Grade 10 students who would like a copy of their official Provincial Achievement Test results can pick them up in the office before/after school and at lunch until October 31. Students MUST show valid student identification to collect their results. 

Jacket Donations Needed

North Trail is collecting gently used winter jackets on behalf of Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth (CBFY). Jackets will be distributed to families who are new to Calgary. If you have a gently used jacket, toques, gloves, mittens, or scarves, please drop them off at the main office before October 24. 

Parent-Teacher Conferences

This is a reminder that bookings for Parent-Teacher Conferences opened yesterday and will remain open until 9:00am on October 24. You can access the booking tool through yourMyCBE account and going into your MyCBE Apps. After you have accessed the booking system, you will be able to select the appropriate teachers and times that work for you. Once you have booked your appointments you will receive confirmation emails, which will also include links to join online meetings if you chose appointments on Friday. 

  • In person conferences will be held on Thursday, October 24 from 5:00pm-8:00pm 
  • Online conferences will be held on Friday, October 25 from 9:00am – 1:30pm 

**Due to the fact that time slots are limited we ask that you book with classroom teachers. Please do not book with Trail Time teachers for these conferences.** 

Interpreters Available during Conferences

For families who require interpreters during parent-teacher conferences, we will be using Language Line, an on Demand language interpreting service. The service offers interpreting in 240+ languages. Please request the service if needed.  

Picture Retakes 

Picture retakes will occur on Thursday, October 24 from 9:00-12:00pm in the Learning Commons. Students who did not have their picture taken at the beginning of the school year, and students who would like photo retakes can do so. For those students requesting retakes, you will need to bring your original photo proof package with you. The photo schedule is below.
