Rhythm and Release Dance Showcase

The Rhythm and Release Dance Showcase is happening tonight at 7:00 PM. If you have not yet purchased tickets, they will be available at the door for $7.

This is also a reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Friday, January 30, as teachers will be participating in System Professional Learning.

Below are some important highlights and updates for the upcoming weeks.

Alberta Education and Childcare Assurance Parent Survey

(Parents of Grade 10 Students)

Parents of Grade 10 students should have received information this week on how to access the Alberta Assurance Survey. Please complete the survey at your earliest convenience. The data collected provides valuable feedback that helps the school improve teaching and learning, student safety, and sense of belonging.

The survey is available in multiple languages, including:
English, French, Ukrainian, Punjabi, Cree, Korean, Denesųłįné, Tagalog, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, and Urdu.

To receive the survey in one of these languages, please contact your child’s school principal.

Grade 10 students will complete the survey during Trail Time on February 18.

Demographic Forms

Demographic forms are currently overdue. These forms are legal documents required by the government and are essential for ensuring we have accurate contact information for families.

If your phone number or address has changed since the beginning of the year, please update this information as soon as possible. Parents needing assistance with account access may contact the school directly.

Timetable Updates

Each semester changeover requires timetable adjustments to ensure balance. We are now two days into Semester 2, and the Student Services Department continues to update student schedules.

Changes may still occur next week. Students are encouraged to check their Semester 2 timetable in PowerSchool daily until Teachers’ Convention and take note of any period, teacher, or classroom changes.

Please note that requests for specific teachers or specific spare periods cannot be accommodated.

Alberta Diploma Exams were cancelled province-wide for January 2026.

Students who wish to opt in to write a diploma exam for a Semester 1 diploma course should visit the main office in February for more information regarding the process and available options.
